Quality people delivering quality home care

At Sterling Homecare, we know that working in home care is much more than just a job. Joining us opens the door to a rewarding, long-term career that brings the great satisfaction of supporting people to live independently.

The calibre of our careworkers is essential to the quality of the support we provide. That’s why we value our staff and are committed to their ongoing training and development, alongside their day-to-day job of delivering home support and personal assistance.

All our careworkers have undergone a Criminal Record Bureau (CRB) check and reference checks before we employ them. The security, safety and peace of mind of our clients, many of whom are made vulnerable by their age or condition, are paramount and for this reason we never use agency staff.

All our new careworkers attend full induction training before they start working independently with our service users and this includes time being trained on site by a senior careworker.

Our home carers are either already qualified to, or working towards, NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care and we supervise, monitor and appraise staff regularly to ensure that we continue to provide the best possible standards of care.
