Our services, your choice

At Sterling Homecare, we provide as much or as little care support as you or your loved one need to live independently and maintain or improve your overall well-being.

Whether you need a 15-minute visit once a week or 24-hour personal care and support, we will work with you and the other people involved – for example, family, social services or health organisations – to design a care support solution tailored to you and your budget.

Once the care plan is in place, we will also assess home with a focus on actions or recommendations relating to health and safety, comfort aids and equipment.

We’ll help you make key decisions about the services you receive, so that you always stay in control, and regularly monitor and adjust your care plan to ensure that our services continue to meet any changes in your needs or financial circumstances. We provide support with:

• personal care, including feeding, bathing, toileting, dressing and grooming
• practical support, including assistance with daily living activities, such as shopping, cleaning, laundry, preparing midday meals and reminders to take medication.

We can also assist with errands, managing personal finances and accompanying people so they can participate in work or for leisure, social or health purposes. Other services include:

• palliative and end of life care: our expert palliative care, delivered with sensitivity and professionalism, can make a significant difference to the lives of terminally ill service users and their families
• wake over/sleep over: by staying overnight in the service users’ home, our care staff are on hand to help at bedtime and assist with any difficulties that might occur through the night 
• pop-ins: short and simple visits to check on a service user or slightly longer visits to assist with activities such as toilet visits or preparing a light meal
• sit-ins: visits of one hour onwards, allowing family members or other carers to take a break and provide company and interaction with the service user.

Our wide-ranging services enable independent living for people including:

• people over 65
• families with disabled parents
• adults with conditions that may include:
  • learning disabilities
  • physical or sensory impairments
  • mental health needs.

Where we cannot meet all your needs, we work closely with other professionals and organisations to ensure you receive the appropriate extra support.
